3.5 Incorporation of third-party services and content
We use content from third parties on our online offering, such as videos from YouTube and maps from Google Maps. This requires that the providers of this content (hereinafter referred to as “third party providers”) are able to see the IP addresses of users as the content cannot be sent to the browser of the respective user without the IP address. Therefore, the IP address is required to display such content. Nevertheless, we have no influence over whether such third-party providers store the IP address, such as for statistical purposes, for example. We will inform the users about any details we have in this respect.
3.5.1 Regarding the usage of YouTube plug-ins
Our website incorporates a plug-in from www.youtube.com, which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).
If you access pages on our website that contain such a plug-in, you will be connected to the YouTube servers and the plug-in will be displayed on the website by communicating with your browser. In addition, Vimeo will receive your IP address. This also applies if you are not logged in to Vimeo when you visit our website or do not have a Vimeo account. The information is transmitted to a Vimeo server in the US, where it is stored.

If you do not want the data to be assigned to your account, you will need to log out before accessing the map feature. Google stores your data as a user profile and utilises it for advertising, market research and/or to provide personalised services on their website. This site uses social plugins (buttons) of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). The plugins can be identified by one of the Facebook logos (e.g. white or blue “f” or a “thumbs up” sign) or are marked with the addition “Facebook Social Plugin” or “share on Facebook”. When a user clicks such a button on a website of Facing Finance (this website), his browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook’s servers. The content of the plugin is then transmitted directly from Facebook to your browser and integrated into the website. Facing Finance e.V. therefore has no influence on the amount of data Facebook collects with the help of this plugin and therefore directs users to the following knowledge: By clicking on the button, Facebook receives information that a user has called up the corresponding page of the offer. If the user is logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to his Facebook account. When users interact with the plugins, for example by pressing the Like button or making a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your browser to Facebook and stored there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, it is still possible for Facebook to obtain and store their IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymized IP address is stored in Germany. The purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as the relevant rights and setting options for the protection of users’ privacy, can be found in Facebook’s data protection information: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
You can choose upfront whether you want to use the services of Facebook: Until you click on the confirmation banner to access Facebook, no data will be transmitted to Facebook.
